By recognizing and using preventative measures for these barriers, healthcare staff can communicate effectively.

 The cost of electronics, hardware, and software. The transition and training of staff, maintenance of electronics without allowing the system to be shut down during peak times of need. Fear of privacy and safety and Higher HIE infrastructure/support costs, and data ownership concerns.
