The Ebola virus made significant impacts upon West African countries. Discuss the difficulty epidemiologists and health professionals have encountered in controlling this disease. What are the cultural/socioeconomic/ religious factors that nurses must be aware of when approaching community members and providing health education? What considerations would you need to take if there were an outbreak of an infectious disease in your community to demonstrate cultural, spiritual, and socioeconomic competencies?
