How do you think trauma-informed care affects your patients and their health outcomes?

answer

As a healthcare provider, trauma-informed treatment is crucial to me because it provides me with a framework for understanding each patient’s individual requirements. I also believe it makes my patients feel more at ease during their time in my care, which helps them achieve better results.

Trauma-informed treatment, in particular, allows me to get a better picture of what’s going on with each patient and aids me in addressing the non-physical factors that may be contributing to their health problems. This can involve stress from relationships or employment, as well as family dynamics. When numerous elements are at play, it’s not always possible to properly treat a disease, therefore this paradigm allows me to take a more holistic approach.

It might be challenging to treat those who have been through terrible circumstances. They may only trust a few people and may be hesitant to discuss some things with you. I am able to create relationships with my patients that allow them to feel more comfortable talking about tough things with me, which helps them gain a better handle on the challenges they are encountering and improves their overall health outcomes, by employing an approach informed by the consequences of trauma.
